A delegation led by Chen Hongliang, Vice President of CCPIT Hainan Sub-Council visits CCILC-Macau

A 16 people-strong delegation led by Chen Hongliang, Vice President of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Hainan Sub-Council, visited the Macao Office of Portuguese-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILC-Macau). They were warmly received by Li Jie, Director of CCILC-Macau, and Jacqueline Vong, Secretary of CCILC-Macau.

 

Li Jie said the CCILC was founded in Lisbon, Portugal in 1978. CCILC-Macau was established in 1992. CCILC is a non-profit making organization devoted to the development of the economic and commercial relationship between Portugal and the People's Republic of China.

 

Chan Hongliang thanked Li Jie for his warm reception and introduced the economic development of Hainan province, including Haikou and Sanya. He said Hainan is a popular tourism destination in China, an international tourism hub and a free trade port, enjoying great support by the Chinese central government to develop ecology and environmental protection projects. Hainan expects to leverage on CCILC-Macau to enhance cooperation with the world and introduce its unique characteristics to Portugal and Portuguese-speaking countries.

 

Both sides also exchanged views on relevant topics in a harmonious atmosphere during the meeting.

 

Representatives attending the meeting included Wang Sujin, Vice President of CCPIT Haikou Sub-Council, and Yao Xiaojun, President of CCPIT Sanya Sub-Council.
