Gala Dinner 2022 of CCILC was held at the residence of the Consul General of Portugal in Macau and Hong Kong on 11st March. Mr. Paulo Cunha Alves, Consul-General of Portugal in Macau and Hong Kong;  Mr. Ji Xianzheng, Secretary-General of Permanent Secretariat of Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) ; Mr. Wang Chen, Director-General of Department of International Organization & Legal Affairs of Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in the Macau SAR; Ms. Yang Hao, Deputy Director General of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macau SAR; Mr. Tang Weng Hei, Acting Senior Manager of Lusophone Markets Economic and Trade Promotion Department of Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, Ms. Maria Carolina Lousinha, Director of Portuguese Trade & Investment Agency and Counselor for Economic and Commercial Affairs (Macau and Hong Kong), and corporate members attended.

 

Mr. Bernie Leong, the President of the Board of Directors of Macau Delegation of CCILC gave the speech at the dinner, he appreciated the full support from government and business partners. Under the new normal of epidemic prevention and anti-epidemic, CCILC has continued to expand the business networks and ushered in unprecedented development opportunities. He sincerely thanked the guests who attended the dinner, and was willing to overcome difficulties together and make common progress and development with all the corporate members.

 

Mr. Paulo Cunha Alves, the Consul-General of Portugal in Macau and Hong Kong thanked CCILC for the efforts and contributions to the economic and trade cooperation between China and Portugal over the years. He said the last two years were very challenging. In spite of this, he believes that 2022 will be a year of opportunities to the Portuguese companies in this region, and to boost the relations between Portugal and China. The Consulate General of Portugal and Economic and Commercial Section AICEP are committed to support CCILC to be an important platform that help Portuguese companies contribute to the moderately diversified development of Macau's economy.

 

Mr. Carlos Álvares, the Vice-president of the General Assembly of Macau Delegation of CCILC made a toast to thank the guests for coming. The dinner was held in a historical building and artistic atmosphere where Chinese and Western cultures blended together, and the guests had a great conversation.

 

CCILC was established in Portugal in 1978, and the Macau delegation was established in 1992, aiming to build an exchange platform for economic and trade cooperation between China and Portugal. All the chamber members are corporates, covering various economic fields such as finance, law, energy, and commerce, etc.
