On November 18, 2024, the Macau Delegation of CCILC hosted a landmark event at Club Lusitano in Hong Kong, commemorating 500 years of business relations between Portugal and China. The event highlighted Macau's pivotal role in fostering these ties, accounting for 90% of Portuguese direct investment in China. 

Speakers at the event included Alexandre Leitão, Consul General of Portugal in Macau and Hong Kong, Bernardo Pinho, Director of AICEP Portugal Global for Macau and Hong Kong, and Carlos Cid Álvares, President of the Macau Delegation of CCILC and CEO of BNU. This milestone event celebrated historical achievements while focusing on future opportunities for growth, collaboration and innovation in Portugal-China trade relations.
